Over the last three months, VGM Club has been working on updating our data to create a better experience for our members. The more we know about your club, the better we can communicate with you. Every VGM Club associate updated information about more than 100 clubs to reflect their most up-to-date amenities and opportunities. This project is part of a concerted effort to send our members relevant solutions. If your club does not have a pool, why do you want an email that includes pool solutions?

Are you headed to the CMAA Conference and Business Expo this year? VGM Club is! Thanks to members and non-members alike, the positive response VGM Club’s booth received last year blew us away. Our booth was a place to relax, grab something to drink, and hang out in our backyard. This year we wanted to take that idea up a notch, so we are going to park this food truck in our booth and serve food samples from our friends at Sysco, beverages from PepsiCo, and be decked from head to toe

From March 4-6, 350 of the best chefs in the United States will be in Seattle, Washington. Kitchens across our membership will be without their executive chef, sous chef, or pastry chef while they attend the 10th annual Chef to Chef Conference. This is a new venture for VGM Club…well almost. Eight years ago, VGM Club attended this show. Back then, there were only 60 attendees. We are elated to be back as one of only 11 sponsors for this prestigious event. Over the course of three

Written by Mike Woltz, Director of Business Development – Agronomy During the leadup to the Golf Industry Show this past month, we interviewed a few of our members speaking at the event. As the Director of Business Development – Agronomy, I was interested in the entire piece, but one particular question we asked every single interviewee was, “How do you plan to grow as a manager in 2018?” As I read the responses, it got me thinking about how our jobs parallel in one

Come Together for Savings, Come Together for Solutions, Come Together with VGM Club. PGA Merchandise Show During this year’s PGA Merchandise Show, we decided to change things up a bit. We did not have a booth for the first time in 22 years! This was not a referendum on the show itself – it was merely a chance to allocate our resources towards something different. Before the show, and during our time walking the trade show floor, we invited pro shop contacts to our party

The new calendar says January. That means winter has settled in, and while the season normally batters northern tier states with frigid temperatures and snow, southern states are not always immune from winter’s wrath. In other words, winter weather can cause headaches for club owners and managers no matter where they’re located as they try to keep their facilities, members, guests, and employees as safe as possible. Cold temperatures and snow are of particular concern during winter

From the desk of James Hockman, Regional Sales Manager at VGM Club: Another year, another successful trip to the Carolinas for the annual Carolinas GCSA Conference and Show. VGM Club reps Courtney Donohue, Mike Woltz, and I were all present to spend time with partners and members that fill in our community around the Carolinas. After some time to reflect, I wanted to extend our sincerest gratitude to the Carolinas GCSA. Before I do, I want to thank all the folks who

Happy Holidays from VGM Club... These are a few of our favorite things:   VGM Club has traveled 340,000+ miles to visit our members and partners It is easy to say we would go around the world and back for our member. It is another to actually do it. We logged enough miles on the road this year to travel around the world almost 15 times! We’ve been to a lot this year. Industry shows, facility visits, charity outings, and more helped us amass that amount of miles. These

“We continue to partner with the OTF because we not only want to see individuals better themselves, but also because we believe in investing in this industry.” – Keaton Juergens, VGM Club’s Director of Member Development for the Ohio Valley territory. Keaton is speaking specifically about the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation (OTF), but this sentiment is shared amongst all of our reps at each regional show we attend and support. Below, you can find a list of a few events we will

The Association of Golf Merchandisers (AGM) published their annual survey last month. After reading through it, I learned there has never been a better opportunity for the on-course facility to capture additional sales and grab more of our industry's valuable retail market share! A lot of this is due to the contraction of off-course and sporting goods stores. What does that mean? Suppliers are increasing their focus towards on-course pro shops. How do we plan to use this survey and information
